Finance Assistant

We are looking for a bookkeeper to join our growing and successful Finance team in Northwood, Middlesex.

You will work with a range of clients and be responsible for a range of finance tasks for our growing portfolio of owner-managed business clients. This will include invoicing, bank reconciliation, credit control, sales and purchase ledger and providing support for our outsourced payroll services.

You’ll report to one of our Client Managers and will work closely with the rest of the Finance team to provide the best possible service and support to your clients.

We work with clients across a range of sectors, servicing both UK and European markets. Main responsibilities

  • Coding and posting invoices and bank transactions.
  • Petty cash and credit card postings.
  • Accurate production of sales invoices.
  • Sales ledger control and debt collection.
  • Assist with month end journals.
  • Maintain balance sheet schedules and asset registers.
  • Provide support with monthly payroll production.

Your experience and skills

  • Good grounding in the financial basics.
  • Experience of bookkeeping, accounting and financial administration.
  • A positive outlook and ability to work well within a small team.
  • Enthusiastic about helping business owners to improve their finances.
  • A people person who’s keen to work with aspirational owner-managers.
  • Happy to work in Northwood and travel to client offices in London and beyond.
